I love this story, ingenious!! Fresh yummy produce for people who need it most. I might need to look into how to be a volunteer for this project, I think my little buddy and I would like to help out!

Our Garden

So, we finally planted our garden this weekend. It has been so cold that we were nervous to plant our garden too soon. Usually we plant mother's day weekend, but we have had snow twice since then this year! Saturday after the haircut we went to the store and bought plants and we managed to plant our garden and all of the flower beds before lunch! MMmmm- cannot wait for the tomatoes- the smell of the plants just gets my mouth watering!

Lauren's first (official) haircut

Lauren's first haircut was actually in November 2010 when I trimmed her hair to make it a more even length, but this Saturday was her first official haircut. We brought her to my hairstylist who came in early to trim her hair (for free!!). Nicole was so sweet to her and Lauren loved it- thanks Nicole!!

My Birthday

Lauren and Jeff bought me a giant cookie cake (vegan, of course). Lauren was a big fan...

Spring Splash

Spring Splash at Winter Park Resort. My brother was in town, and we had a blast! Basically the party is better than the skiing, although  there was a lot of snow that weekend. Lauren got to ride the ski lift and loved it.  We cooked chili in the c lot on saturday, and went to the Spring Splash event on Sunday.

Closing weekend at WP resort- we had a pickle snack while drying her socks and shoes by the fire pit.

Uncle Gus visit- Easter Weekend

My mom wanted pictures of Lauren and Uncle Gus. Unfortunately,  I am still working out the bugs with my new camera and they didn't turn out well.  Lauren remembered Uncle Gus and loved him. She was asking him where his dog Clifford was- I thought it was cute she remembered (although she never forgets anyone's dog). He is so good with her, the guy needs to have kids!!!!!!!

Easter (finally)

Easter weekend was fun, my brother was here and we spent the weekend in Winter Park. I am behind posting because we went right to mexico after that, and then my mom came to visit. I want to share pics of our Easter weekend, so now it is catch-up time.

Easter morning, she wenton an Easter egg hunt around the house. There were jelly beans in the eggs, so she was so excited. The easter egg hunt on good friday prepped her, and she knew just what to do.

This is the "non-dairy" Easter bunny, she loved it!

We got her a doctor set- poor Casey had to be the patient!

Superman!

Her favorite pajamas! I went online to buy a back-up pair and they are out of her size.  For some reason, she is a bit aggressive as Superman and likes to attack us~ and he kinda roars like a lion. But- she would wear them every single day if I didn't have to wash them!

Easter Egg Hunt

we went to an Easter egg hunt at the rec center in Winter Park on Good Friday. My brother was the photographer, I was the bag holder. She had a blast- it was a really nice event!

Better late than never...

She had the time of her life. The poor child cannot eat eggs, but she sure had fun coloring them.  Once she came to the part of banging them together, they kind of were ruined, but it sure was fun! (this was done about a week before Easter, I am just behind on posting).
