Orange nose
Lauren has an orange-ish nose. I have always thought this was strange, but Jeff poo-poos it and says it is all in my head. Well, I didn't want to run to the pediatrician and have them check her Bili to see if she is jaundice (well, yes I did want to, but I am somewhat reasonable). Today my friend at work commented on it. So, I typed into google "Why does my baby have an orange nose?" Turns out that is common in babies that eat a lot of carrots and sweet potatoes- something about beta carotene.
Hmmmm... I wonder how people raised children before the internet?

Cute Story
Lauren is getting more mobile every day. She can pull herself up on stuff with a little help, and occassionally can do it all on her own. She cracked up her teachers at daycare today because she was trying to pull herself up on a little bench. She apparently pulled up part way and then fell back down. On her second attempt she got up far enough that her mouth was even with the top edge, then she bit onto the edge and used her mouth plus her two hands to hold her there. Then she just held there with all of her might, until her teacher started cracking up and Lauren had to laugh too and fell down. What a silly, silly girl.

A vibrating teether!
OMG! What will they think of next! Or should I say, what will grandma spoil her with next!?! So, Grandma V clearly saw that Lauren is deprived of toys and things to soothe her, so she bought her a vibrating teether- she got the one that looks like grapes. When she bites down, it starts to vibrate and is supposed to be soothing on their gums when they are teething. I don't think Lauren is actually teething yet, but she really really likes the teether. You see, Jeff and I really are not the ones spoiling her...
