Apres Ski

Today we headed to the mountain for a little apres ski. We had drinks and snacks at the new Belgian bar at WP- The Cheeky Monk. Lauren was decked out in her Juicy Couture sweats and Ugg boots. Our waitress thought she looked more like she should be in Aspen.

Check out my new hat!

I gotta wear shades...

Snow totals...

So, it is still snowing, but has slowed down alot. Once again, not quite the event that was predicted. We got just under a foot of snow- still impressive considering that we had green grass showing this time yesterday. Here is the last storm photo. Since Jeff is working until late tonight, I went out to shovel twice, but was pleasantly surprised that our neighbour had shoveled our walk after the hardest snowfall- lucky me! It was Carmen, not the evil ferret man!

Exersaucer

Lauren tried out her exersaucer for the first time today- she really like it! Thanks Jacob and Alex for letting us borrow it!

Still snowing....

Here is the progress. The flowers are about burried, up to the first bar on the gate. About 6 hours into the storm...

Snow day!

We are expecting a big snow storm today- 12-18 inches of snow in town. Jeff is working a double shift today, and wont be home until 11pm, and he took the 4WD truck, so Lauren and I are holed up in the house today. We are going to lay around in our pjs all day and bake cookies and play games. Here are some pictures- about 2 hrs into the storm. It is falling hard and fast, I will take photos again later to document the progress. Had to snap some shots of my flowers- they will likely be burried by tonight. You would think they would learn their lesson by now- not to come up in february and march no matter how nice the weather- this happens to them every year. Makes for some fun pictures though...

Bumpy name labels

These things are cool. They are rubber things to mark your baby's bottle- called Bumpy Name labels. Kalima, Lauren's daycare teacher recommended them. She has them in bubble-gum pink with her name and a heart on them. She has old-fashioned glass Born Free bottles that she drinks from. Glass seems to be the eco-friendly, baby-friendly, tried-and-true material. No worries about toxic plastic. Anyway, I think these bottle markers are a great idea- a good baby gift for someone with a little one in daycare.

Kaiser Family Photo

This is only the 2nd picture of our family (minus Casey this time...). Our other picture was at Xmas when Lauren was only 2 weeks old. Guess we gotta get more on the ball. Anyway, here it is. Jeff's cousin Chuck and his girlfriend were our dinner guests this friday, and were nice enough to take this photo of us. Lauren was a social diva, as always. We went to happy hour at the Tavern Uptown with some friends who moved away to the east coast- Lauren was alert and happy for over an hour and impressed everyone. Then she continued her social evening to host Chuck and Brittany for dinner. What a sweet heart. There is a lot of history/ drama already associated with this photograph ( i might be a psycho-mom after all)- if you have some time, I can tell you the story...
