RV trip, next stops

After a long day of driving, we ended up in Ridgeway. We stayed there last time, it south of Montrose, just north of where you have to turn for either Telluride or Ouray. It is nice because there are RV hook-ups (we got leary after our first night) and a nice lake to fish at.  It is also a quick drive to many fun spots, so we planned to stay a few days and enjoy Ouray and the hotsprings, and go to Telluride.
The dog walker (bad shot, my shadow ruins it :(

Standing by the fire, can you believe the views we had this trip? Colorado is so beautiful, it still takes my breath away!!

Local folliage

Results of photographing local folliage in flip-flops. My toes got a few of these big spikes- OUCH! This is a good time to pimp my favorite Reef flip-flops- check out the beer bottle opener on the bottom. Oh yeah, that is how I roll...

ADORE THIS SHOT!

Silly!

Ouray. Such a beautiful town, I love it!
So, this marks the second time we were in Ouray and was too rainy to really appreciate the scenery. This time is was much worse- totally socked-in with clouds and no visibility and raining pretty hard. We didn't think it was a great idea to take Lauren to the hot springs in the pouring cold rain, so we skipped it. We decided to go to Montrose for some indoor play time and along the way checked the forecast and decided to keep heading north. The prediction was for rain for a couple day, but it was nice up by Grand Junction, so we kept going. This was the theme of our trip, sometimes we would head out for a drive fully intending on returning to the campground, but would change our mind and keep going another direction- the luxury of the RV and not having to return to pack up- when you leave the site, you are ready to GO!
